Edinburgh > Glasgow and back again...

I have just returned from one of the most amazeballs weekends in my home country, Scotland.  A weekend of many laughs with new and old friends, I love them all!!!

Flew to Edinburgh Thursday, spent the day raiding Urban Outfitters, 'window shopping' and present shopping, fueling up on some yummy TGI Friday chicken sandwiches & managed to sit outside, enjoy the sunny warm weather and take in the views of the castle and Edinburgh streetstyle.  Thanks to D & M for treating me like a princess!!!!

Friday - Sunday:  Glasgow for my best friends henny that I had organised. MUCHOS fun.  Think 80s slumber party (with whole outfits bought for a tenner from Primark), recording a music video (with choreography), luxuriating in having our own make up artists, then dinner/cocktails and dancing at Arta. Sunday we brunched at the Charles Rennie Mackintosh tea rooms.

Then back to Edinburgh for some chilling action on the couch with D, M and the cutest, craziest kitten Trevor, with scrumptious salt n vinegar crisps (SO glad you cannot get them over here).

Monday was spent rummaging through charity shops with D and M in Stockbridge and Morningside - the perfect way to spend a holiday Monday.  Major props to Capability Scotland (Stockbridge shop) for writing little descriptions on their price labels - they ROCKED!!!

OK, as for the streetstyle, here is what I saw on the streets of Edinburgh and Glasgow:
- Maxi dresses
- Denim jackets, denim shirts and denim waistcoats (NEED to get myself a denim wasitcoat ASAP)
- HEELS, HEELS and HEELS (platforms, peep toes, wedges, the higher the better) - VERY impressive!!!
- Denim shorts over tights
- Messy up do's (hair)
- False eyelashes (inspired by TOWIE?!)
- Red hair (as I was told, inspired by Cheryl Cole/Tweedy)
- Vintage style (think vintage dresses with tights and brogues and vintage inspired make up/hair)
- Preppy college look (shirts, chino's, hair swept back)

I loved every minute of my stay in Scotland and fell in love a little bit more with my homeland & with all my wonderful friends.

More pics to come...

xoxo
